AQUARIUS HISTORY
The title of
Aquarius was first received from Spirit
by Jenny Carroll in the autumn of 1985. It had been given
at the very start of a spiritual service that has taken
many forms during the past twenty-three years. On October
18th
of that year,
Jenny’s service as both channel and scribe for The
Universal Teachers and The Brotherhood of Light began.
During the following twenty months an astounding array of
activities were accomplished.
___________
• Five
hundred channeled sessions were ultimately transcribed,
cataloged and excerpted by numerous volunteers who had
formed a core group from among the many individuals
attending the Friday evening sessions. Now in form both as
the original Discourses and as Excerpt Files of over 50
topics, they are known as The Aquarius
Materials, currently becoming published.
• The
‘seed start” of the Aquarius Esoteric
Lbrary which would later be comprised of
2,200 volumes representing the sacred teachings of every
major world religion and Spiritual Wisdom tradition.
• The
manuscript of The Aquarian Resurrection (Mankind’s Great
Awakening), the first of a trilogy, telepathically
received, was completed in March of 1987.
• Two
houses and a public facility were completely renovated and
refurbished to serve as Homes of
Service with a Spiritual
Center to hold the library and host large
public gatherings.
• Though
these were not long sustained, the seed of service,
discipline and dedication had taken root and was thriving
in the two main pillars of the core group. These two, Maria
Weaver and Mark S., together with Jenny, had continued to
sustain and support The Work and The Word of
Aquarius from its conception.
Thus out of the ashes of former
structures arose the beautiful Ashram Home of
Aquarius with these three forming the
first small staff of Stewards. Designated by The
Brotherhood as
The Aquarius Spiritual Education Center
in the fall of
1987, it was a Missouri Not-for-Profit organization until
its closing in October of 1993. During those wondrous six
years, it shone as a great Beacon of Light for many Truth
seekers.
The facility was a large
three-story, 32 room stone home located in mid-town Kansas
City. Its heart was the library, already extensive,
continuing to grow by donations and the many books gathered
and shipped throughout Jenny’s frequent coast-to-coast
travels. The staff had also grown, with many others coming
to enjoy the private rooms, staying for various lengths of
time from retreat weekends to several months of living in
spiritual community. The three offices hummed with
activities of stewards and volunteers typing, copying and
filing
The Aquarius Materials while also maintaining
worldwide correspondence with other Spiritual Centers and
Light Workers.
Spacious adjoining rooms facing the large wrap-around front
porch hosted many wonderful gatherings featuring guest
authors, video showings and other presentations of
spiritual interest. These well-attended events were always
followed by delicious potluck dinners after which music,
often accompanied by group singing, was provided by Ayesha
Ashley and/or other musician/song writers. Among them, the
well-known Lee Domann, who was a frequent over-night guest.
In the summer of 1990, a sister house,
Aquarius West, was established by Jenny at
the Brotherhood’s request and eager participation of three
women residing in a large two-story residential home
located in Orange County, California. Again, a library of
spiritual books and videos formed the heart, with private
room accommodations available for traveling Light Workers
and those in need of brief retreats. A meditation room
adjoined the lush rose garden with its large St. Francis
fountain sending sounds of gently trickling waters
throughout a spacious patio area, perfect for meditation,
study and quiet contemplation. Stewards from both
Aquarius houses visited and supported
the work of the other. Jenny divided time between them, in
addition to frequent phone calls and written
correspondence.
Aquarius West became her primary residence
from October of 1993 until the summer of 1995, when it too
was closed for its purpose as a Brotherhood Home, though
remained a private residence, as it had been prior to 1990.
After all the activities of the previous decade, the next
one seemed strangely quiet to both Jenny and Maria Weaver,
who had been her closest associate of
The Aquarius Work, as they awaited the Masters’
guidance on how to proceed with The Work of The Word. Maria
had remained in Kansas City, purchasing a small private
home, and resuming life as led prior to the Aquarius years.
Jenny’s spacious studio apartment in a beach community of
Southern California continued the
Home of Service tradition. Though tiny by past
comparison, it was a mighty reflector of the Masters’
Light. Its small library of esoteric teachings and
spiritual biographies led many to the inner path Homeward.
Together Jenny and Maria had remained the stewards
of
The Aquarius Materials,
the main library,
two book manuscripts and a series of eighteen
Aquarian Life Lessons telepathically received by
Jenny in 1992. All of which had been placed ‘on hold’ by
the Masters, not to be publicly released until further
instructed. Finally, during the summer of 2005, the
long-awaited instructions came. IT WAS TIME!
During the following two years
of dedicated preparations by both Jenny and Maria, existing
book manuscripts have been reviewed, others prepared, still
others are currently with a publisher. The
Aquarius Esoteric Studies website has been established as
a means to further disseminate various forms of The
Brotherhood’s teachings. It is here that the
Aquarian Life Lessons are offered.
___________
Aquarius has a history of magnificent
Spiritual Service. However, it is hoped an even greater
mission in Service to The Plan of Light now lies ahead.
